Interesting post! I really agree with you about people visiting many countries in such a short duration! How can they brag about it when they haven’t seen the extent and beauty of that country?
My friend once told me I have something special for living in four different countries (UK, Morocco, UAE and Indonesia).
During my teenage years, I sighed saying it’s nothing much compared to the countries many people visited. She then said “Visited. Not lived. There’s a (big) difference.”
Living in those countries, I have learnt the languages, cultures, the cuisines, befriended special local people, etc.
It’s really entirely different from just visiting (especially just for a few days)!
