Check out some fantastic Lisbon street art in the photos below! In this blog post I will discuss three interesting street art sites in Lisbon. Of course there is more street art to explore in Lisbon. Check out the map at the bottom of this blog post for more locations.

Pombal

The street art in this area is going all the way Av. Conselheiro Fernando de Sousa, Rua Marques de Fronteira and R. Artilharia 1. I love this realistic street art!

Some very talented graffiti artists brightened up this meters high big construction site wall.

The question is how long this will stay, as the wall may be torn down at some point. Better go & check it out soon!

Av. Conselheiro Fernando de Sousa includes the most beautiful and big street art of this area in Lisbon. Like this girl in the photo above.

Various styles can be distinguished in Lisbon street art. Tastes differ but for sure it’s colorful!

This street art area is close to the Four Seasons RitzHoliday Inn Lisboa Liberdade and metro station Marquês de Pombal. The glass container photo (left in below gallery) was taken close to the next area discussed in this blog post.

Picoas

This fantastic large Lisbon street art on the corner of Av. Fontes Pereira de Melo and Picoas metro station is already there for at least six years. This street art area is located near the Sheraton Lisboa Hotel & Spa.

Showing a great refined style, this graffiti artist obviously likes decorating large canvases in the form of abandoned apartment buildings.

Elevador da Gloria

The tiny yellow tram from promenade Av. da Liberdade up the hill to the bustling Bairro Alto is called Elevador da Gloria. During my first time in Lisbon in 2012, the street art around and at the top end of the tram line contained a bit of dark, grim graffiti, as shown in the photo gallery below.

This area still contains a lot of sloppy ‘tag’ street art, which is not my favorite to be honest. However, sometimes there are some new, really colorful and beautiful or funny pieces of art on the walls there that are worth checking out. The always surprising element street art!

Elevador da Gloria is on walking distance from NH Collection Lisboa Liberdade and Tivoli Avenida Liberdade Lisboa.

Map Lisbon street art

This map includes places and spots mentioned in this article (and more). This one is ‘smartphone friendly’; you can easily use it via the Google Maps app. Click the icon at the top left to open the menu and see the categories. To adapt the map to your own preferences and interests, (de)select a category. Via Google Drive you can copy the map to your own My Google Maps account.

My favorite?

Definitely this Angel piece by a graffiti artist called Styler!
