Curaçao, the tropical island where I always enjoy coming back. So wonderfully relaxed! Sun, sea, beach… A real paradise feeling! I like to stay in a pleasant hotel or resort on the beach with palm trees and a swimming pool. You too, but you don’t know which one? In this article I list the 10 best resorts and hotels in Curaçao on the beach with a swimming pool, all located on the beautiful south coast of the tropical island.

Kontiki Beach Resort
What a wonderful resort this is. Kontiki Beach Resort has spacious rooms with tropical dark wood, an exotic garden with sunbeds and the possibility to swim. If you walk out of the gate among the beautiful iguanas you will enter the beach. There you can eat and drink on a terrace, lie on a beach bed under a palm tree and listen to the sea… An ideal hotel on Curacao at the beach with a swimming pool in my opinion!
The Sea Aquarium is also close by (700m), where you can train with dolphins. (Personally, I wouldn’t go there anymore, I’d rather go swimming and snorkeling with dolphins in the wild!)

LionsDive Beach Resort
LionsDive is a popular resort and for a good reason. The private beach is beautiful, you can easily walk into the sea from your beach chair to discover the underwater world. Forgot your diving or snorkeling gear? No problem, LionsDive has its own dive shop. At the wellness center you can book a relaxing massage or other body treatment.
There is also plenty to do around the resort: shopping at Mambo, Wet & Wild is 500 meters away from LionsDive and the Sea Aquarium is 200 meters (656 ft) away. The shuttle to Willemstad and supermarket is free of charge. By now I think you understand why guests like staying at this beach hotel on Curacao with swimming pools.

Coral Estate Luxury Resort
Just looking at the pictures of Coral Estate already makes you happy. Sun, sea, beach and it all looks great! The beach by the sea is indeed constructed, but you can enter the sea comfortably via the stairs. Not to mention the infinity pool. Estate may sound fancy, but the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The rooms have light colors, comfortable beds, a kitchenette and a balcony, terrace or patio. Coral Estate is a bit further away from Willemstad, but that does not have to be a disadvantage of course. Just enjoy. Coral Estate is after all one of the best beach hotels on Curacao with swimming pool!

Scuba Lodge & Suites
Scuba Lodge is a boutique hotel and I like that. The building from 1897 is painted in cheerful blue and pink tones. Complete with white shutters and a black and white checkered floor, totally my style! Sea views, infinity pool, beach umbrellas, tropical plants, friendly staff… Scuba Lodge has got it al.
The beach is indeed constructed, but it is private and you can snorkel beautifully here. And otherwise you can always go to Avila Beach (900 m, 2950 ft, see below). The center of Willemstad is also within walking distance. The terrace with tropical cocktails is great, and so are the beds, both the beach beds and those in the room. So really relaxed!

Avila Beach Hotel
Curaçao Avila Beach Hotel is a pleasure to the eye. Right on the sandy beach with its own little bay! This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful beach hotels on Curacao with a swimming pool. Excellent facilities, pleasant and friendly service and atmosphere. You can even hire a personal trainer here or take golf lessons at the neighbors. In the evenings there is regularly live jazz music at Avila Beach Hotel.

Where to eat & drink

Rent a car @ Curacao
Personally, I like to alternate between relaxing on the beach and snorkeling in the sea with driving around the island. Looking for beautiful beaches, nice places to eat and drink, find great hiking trails and old buildings. Not an absolute must, but very handy. Sunny Cars is available from the airport on arrival.
Personally, when it concerns renting a car, I would recommend Sunny Cars, an all-inclusive, worry free rental concept with affordable, fair prices, great service and no unpleasant surprises upon pick up or drop off. I am a big fan and use them all the time! In most countries the 2nd driver, free cancellation up to 4 hours in advance and all-risk insurance are standard included. Ideal, I use them all the time!
Day tours Curacao
Are you comfortable in your hotel on Curacao on the beach with a swimming pool? Do you not want to leave a rental car just standing there on the parking lot during your holiday, but do you want to spend a (half) day sightseeing or active? What you can also do is book one or more (half) day tours; then you will be picked up and returned back to your hotel, nice and easy!

Always check the travel advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your country before booking a trip and travel to Curaçao.
